By all means this new staff under Green needs to get rid of some current players but I hope they are careful about it. Simion (A-Hole) Rice never could stop the run and when he ends up in Tampa he does just that. Darwin Walker got cut by the Cards and ends up being a stud with the Eagles. I think the team knew what it has in our OL but the coaches just couldn't do anything there.

I look at players like Dennis Johnson, King, Fisher, Thompson, Bryant, and Wilson on defense and can't help believe that they all could be a lot better, a whole better on the DL where Joe Green was in charge, with better coaching.

Players on the bubble that I hope stick are Lucas (good depth for back-up at safety) on defense, Nate Poole before the catch that sent the Vikings packing made some good plays in his given chance and would be good depth at WR on offense. I also feel the team shouldn't give up on McAddley either, he has skills. Players like Russell Davis might not start on some teams but he was one of our best DL, so maybe keep him till we know we have better (not a bad back-up).

Players that I would like to see go are Wakefield (we have enough over achievers), Stone, Rhinehart (never seemed to recover from his injury) and Dishman (just fat and full of stupid mistakes for a veteran). Gilmore also seems to be a project that might never prove fruitful for the team. I also feel there was a reason Kasper didn't see much time on the field, say what you want but Sully was one of the good coaches we had (was Kasper injured?, if not then the coaches knew something we didn't because there seemed to be a lot of Brandon Stokely and yet he wasn't on the field).

Just rambling waiting and wanting the draft to start.

P.S. as a fan and in view of the contract extension to Rackers... what the hell is up with Billy G. The kicker situation for me is confusing and scary.

GO CARDINALS!!!

I differ in opinion from some of the ones on the other roster threads. While we might wish we could cut 20 guys, I don't think it's practical to get rid of that many AND add impact players in free agency. Cutting that many is bound to accumulate some dead cap space. You're right, the younger players, especially, will get a chance to improve with the new coaching.

I think we all have to hope that Denny and his staff know talent better than Mac and his people did.

It's one thing to clean out the locker room of bad actors and another to dump a lot of talent for nothing in return,

Assuming this is so, we should be able to count on the Cards not doing that anymore.

It's a pattern that started with Ken Harvey (who, by the way, was far from being a bad actor) and continued thru Garrison Hearst, LC, Simeon, Aeneas, Corey C and D-Bo (to name but a few).

And what did we get to compensate for this talent drain - Zippo!

If Denny does nothing more than put a stop to this squandering of resources, he will have done a lot to right the Cardinal ship.

MJ just said on KDUS that the players are crapping bricks - He would not be surprised if they all had their most productive offseasons & weight programs this year.

I liked Ken Harvey's game.

I was so pissed when he left & then Eric Hill left. I would've loved to see this front 7 (I included 8) defense if all were healthy & playing: (what could've been??)

So what steps does our new coaching staff follow to evaluate the talent that might be latently hiding on our roster......waiting until training camp might be too late to correct with FA's.....right?

Is reviewing film going to tell a lot?? Will they be able to determine that better coaching will turn a player around from watching film?

Will Green rely on Graves' opinion?

How will they get the answers.......any opin's?
