The first Thursday of the men's NCAA basketball tournament is usually a rowdy one. There's a reason hoops fans essentially celebrate it like a holiday. That also means CBS simply has to pull out all the stops with its broadcasts and studio shows. You know, something like cute virtual beings having fun hanging around basketball qualifies. Too bad CBS can't bless us with its cool breakdancing robots from 2021 because they would neatly fit that sort of bill. Sigh, alas.
Hey, now, WAIT a minute!
As Thursday's coverage of the tournament unfolded in the early stages, CBS brought back its glorious breakdancing robots while Ernie Johnson sent the show to commercial. I don't know where they got their dance lessons. I don't know why they look like Miis from the Nintendo Wii. But I still love them wholeheartedly:
This time, CBS, let's keep these boys around as an annual fixture. They get the vibes going, and we deserve that.
