The Arizona Cardinals still have questions at right guard after the first week of free agency, and the future of right tackle is uncertain. They have Jonah Williams, although he is coming off a knee injury, and Kelvin Beachum, who re-signed at age 36. They also have 2024 fifth-round pick Christian Jones, but he hasn't shown enough to be counted on.

In a new mock draft from CBS Sports' Kyle Stackpole, the Cardinals potentially answer both questions.

With the 16th pick of the draft, they take Texas tackle Kelvin Banks.

Whether Kelvin Banks Jr. plays guard or tackle, the Cardinals will be happy to have him protecting Kyler Murray and blocking for James Conner.

Banks played left tackle protecting Quinn Ewers. He has the length to play tackle, but if Williams is healthy, he could easily slide inside to right guard as a rookie for a year to give the Cardinals a full starting lineup. And if Williams is not healthy, Banks could hold down the right tackle job like Paris Johnson did as a rookie in 2023.

It is a pick that is completely believable for the Cardinals, who want to continue to build their trenches.
