Rankings edge rushers highest Lock is higher than Murray (23) is sure to make Murray lovers rather unhappy

Doesn't change my mood one way or another. I just watch tape of Lock and see him make crazy, good NFL throws, and then on the next drive make John Skelton throws that a guy who has played as much as he has SHOULD NEVER MAKE.

Teams fall in love with tools all the time and think they can coach up bad QBs. Lock IMO will never be a good QB because he makes some horrible decisions. Jones is my dark horse QB of the first round because his decision making is really good and he generally throws with good mechanics. He's a bit Brad Johnson to me, doesn't take a ton of risks.

I'm not a Haskins fan, but he makes good decisions too, but his footwork is trash, he needs a lot of work, so he is likely to throw horrible picks based on inaccuracy at times.

I like Murray the best because he has really good mechanics and his decision making was really good, albeit for only one season.

Not saying one way another just thought the site's big board was interesting and no matter what anyone says this is a extremely defense heavy draft crappy if ya are wanting O line or QBs IMHO

He has elite tools. He throws one of the best deep balls you've ever seen.

But then he inexplicably throws a pick six right to a blitzing LB. Skelton bad. A guy with major flaws in his game can throw 35 TDs in college. It happens all of the time.

That's why when you evaluate QBs in college, you have to look at individual throws. Haskins has issues moving and throwing, and that's a problem for a statue QB like him. That's the main reason I started liking Murray, he has so many good throws, so few bad ones.

The Murray red flags that are 100% meaningful was the lack of adversity and lack of PT. The rest? I think people are way overthinking it and are picking up on clues that we can't really answer.

A bunch of so-called experts stated their opinions.

Give those folk whatever credit you feel they are due, but that doesn't make it so.

I like Murray the best because he has really good mechanics and his decision making was really good, albeit for only one season.

Pro day workouts between these two were night and day. Murray was basically doing pitch and catch while Haskins was running, doing drop backs, roll outs, doing ladders drills and having the trainer mock rush him and try to distract him and hitting the same throws. His passing session was quite a bit longer IIRC as well.

I felt like Murray slouched on that instead of wanting to be challenged and showcase. He did have good throws though, but I like Haskins confidence to have more challenging workout and have an awesome outting and I just like his touch on the ball. He has a rocket too but he puts these soft touches on the throws sometimes or puts a little air under it for the receivers to run it down and still hits them in stride without the receiver needing to adjust.

Both could be solid at NFL level but I feel like Murray keeps resting on his laurels from his college season instead of using every opportunity to compete (no combine workout, no running at pro day or combine, easy peasy pro day session). I don't like that when people are already questioning your commitment and ability and you have the opportunity to throw it back in their face but you don't.
