I have made three drafts here, depending on what we do via FA. I tried to take different guys in each one, but that didn't always work.
As you will see, I have more than one player for various picks. Availibility is always a concern, so I added backup selections.
I am not sure all/any of these are feasible within the cap, so if I messed up, sorry.
Draft 1
FA Signings- Calvin Pace, Bubba Franks, Josh Brown, Mwelde Moore
1. McFadden is gone, but F Jones is still available, so I traded #16 for #'s 21 and 28 from Dallas
I love what Rice brings to the table and while I am not big on Charles, many on this board are so maybe I am missing something.
3. Dre Moore-DT(3-4DE)-Md/Owen Schmitt-FB-WV
I doubt Moore is available here, but I can hope right? T Smith was everything I had hoped he would be this year, but Schmitt is a natural born destroyer. You always want guys like him on your side.
4. Tommy Blake-DE(3-4 OLB)-Texas Christian
His mental illness presents a risk, but his speed and talent make him worth it here. If he dedicates himself he is an absolute steal here IMO. If he doesn't, we still did better than last year by drafting the bust in the 4th as opposed to the 3rd.
5. Durant Brooks-P- /Mike Dragosavich-P-Georgia Tech
Hopefully Brooks is here, but if not Drago is a beast and you gotta love getting a 15yr player w/ Pro Bowl potential in the 5th round.
6.Breno Giacomini-OT- Louisville
Developmental OT/TE tweener who at best could eventually be a very quick LT and at worst can be one hell of a one dimensional blocking TE.
7. JT Mapu-DT-Tennessee
Had one year to play after backing up Justin Harrell most of his career. has decent measureables and could become a runstuffing end in the 3-4.
Draft 2
FA Signings- A. Faneca, Calvin Pace, Mwelde Moore
1. Ryan Clady-LT-Boise St/Jeff Otah-LT-Pitt/Chris Williams-LT-Vandy
Our line is officially done. We can run all over you and let Matt take his time in the passing game. With the holes that will be opened, JJ could gain 1,000yds (had I not cut him).
2. Tracy Porter-CB-Indiana/Antoine Cason-CB-Arizona
I like both, but Porter has the edge speedwise so his name goes first.
3. Chris Ellis-DE(3-4OLB)-VT/Jason Jones-DE(3-4OLB)-Eastern Michigan
Ellis is an ass, and under Denny I would have said that he would create problems, but Whiz doesn't seem to go for that stuff and I trust D-Dock will have him check his mouth at the door. Skills-wise, I have Ellis as a bit better, but I really like the both of them. One or the other should be available.
4. Mike Hart-RB-Michigan
Say what you will about his injuries and mileage, but he runs like a younger Edge and if we can maintain this line, he could have similar career #s.
5. Durant Brooks-P-/Mike Dragosavich-P-Georgia Tech/Alexis Serna-K-Oregon St
Durant and Drago are likely no more than wishfull thinking this late in the draft, but if so Brett Kern should be there next round. Alexis Serna's leg is every bit as big as Neil's but his confidence is still intact.
6. Jason Shirley-DT-Fresno St/Brandon Coutu-K-Georgia
The guy is 6'5 330 and runs a sub 5. 40yd dash. With some offseason conditionally John Lott-style, he could shed 30lbs and be an absolute monster. He could really be the future at DE.
7. Geoff Price-P-ND/Brett Kern-P-Toledo
Draft 3
FA Signings- A. Faneca, J. Brown, Mwelde Moore, Drayton Florence
1. Quentin Groves-DE(3-4OLB)-Auburn/Derrick Harvey-DE(3-4OLB)-Florida
I have Groves graded just a hair above Harvey, but either one would help our team greatly.
2. Donnie Avery-WR-Houston
Super fast and shifty, the perfect compliment to Fitz and Boldin. He could really blossom this year which may help ease the pain of the possible departure of Fitz or Boldin next year.
3. Chad Rhinehart-OT-Northern Iowa
Russ Grimm-type lineman. Super tough and moves the pile. Great run-blocker and good pass protector as well. Lack of exposure due to his team, but the guy is a top 8 tackle IMO.
4. Pat Lee-CB-Auburn/Dwight Lowery-CB-San Jose St/Chevis Jackson-CB-LSU/Darnell Terrell-CB-Missouri
Fast guys who can all play CB as well as STs. Terrell is very intriguing with great size 6'3 210 and good speed 4.38. He could turn out to be the answer at FS when we finally move Wilson down to ILB and Rolle goes to SS.
5. Anthony Alridge-RB-Houston
Tiny guy, 5'8 170, but runs a 4.2 40 and averaged 10ypc. He also scored every ten times he touched the ball.
6. Jamario Thomas-RB-N.Texas/Keon Lattimore-RB-Maryland
Thomas ran for 1,800+ and 17tds as freshman, but his team crumbled the past few years and so did his stats. Lattimore split time at Md, but is Ray Lewis' little brother. That makes him worth taking here IMO.

1a. Mike Jenkins-CB-S. Florida/Aqib Talib-CB-Kansas/Cromartie-CB-Tenn St
I like all three of these guys and can see all of them being our selection without saying we reached.
1b. Branden Albert-OG-VA/Chilo Rachal-OG-USC
Chico is the best guard in the draft IMO. Albert has the most upside. One of them is sure to be there.
2. Ray Rice-RB-Rutgers/Jamaal Charles-RB-TexasI love what Rice brings to the table and while I am not big on Charles, many on this board are so maybe I am missing something.
