USC recruiting has experienced a surge over the past couple of months. Since hiring general manager Chad Bowden away from archrival Notre Dame, the Trojans have experienced a surge on the recruiting trail, currently holding the No. 1 class in the country for the 2026 cycle. Last week, Bowden appeared on the Victory Podcast with Keely Eure of USC Athletics to discuss his recruiting philosophy for the program.
"Going into the future of the new era of college athletics, we are going to be blazing the trail, [as] opposed to just being a part of it," Bowden said. "We're going to be the leaders in it.
"I'm not into rankings, I'm really not. I'm gonna get the right kids. So winning. Whatever a ranking says to me I've never cared for. All I care about is winning.
"But I can tell you . . . when we go after the kids we really want in recruiting . . . they're gonna know."
Whatever Bowden and the Trojans are currently doing on the recruiting trail, it is clearly working. USC fans certainly hope that success continues, and that Bowden and company continue to attract elite talent to the Trojans.
