Chargers TE Gates to return vs. Jets (AP)

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is active and will play against the New York Jets on Sunday after missing three games with a flare-up of plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Gates tore scar tissue near the injury Sept. 18 against New England, and will be available for Philip Rivers to throw to for the first time in over a month.
