I just caught the tail end of an interview of Charles Barkley on Channel 10 two minutes ago. I love him, but sometimes I don't think he actually believes the crap he is spewing on a regular basis.
They asked him about the possibility of being a part owner of the Phoenix Suns. He said he would have had to give $10 million and would have had no say in the operations. He said that didn't sound like a good deal to him. I understand that, but he then said he thinks he knows more about running a basketball team than the guys who will be in charge of the Phoenix Suns.
The Lady asked him about Steve Kerr and whether he thinks it is a conflict of interest for him to work for TNT while he has a managerial position with the Suns. Barkley must not have understood the question because he replied that he will not work for Steve Kerr. He said he doesn't want to be a public figure for an organization if he doesn't get a say in the moves they make. Then he said that is what happened to Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan ran that Wizard's team. I'm sure he was even making the calls when he was playing for them. Barkley finished by saying that his next step will be to run a team. I don't think there's a team than the NBA that would place Charles Barkley in charge.
