The Boston Bruins will be without stud defender Charlie McAvoy for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final versus the Carolina Hurricanes. The NHL announced that McAvoy has been suspended by the Department of Player Safety for this launched, clean-pick headshot on Josh Anderson of the Columbus Blue Jackets in Game 6 on Monday night. Losing McAvoy for Game 1 is no small thing for Boston, but it's a decent upshot considering the circumstances surrounding the hit.
