Gotta grab him. Does anyone remember David Whitehurst Green Bay QB? He is Charlie's dad.

Saw him in the College skills contest. He is well on the way to mended from late season arthroscopic arm/shoulder surgery. If this guy is available in round 2, he would be a gift. I think he goes very late 1st - mid 2nd. He will jump up at the combine. Right now he is 5th rated QB prospect.

As much as I'd hate having a Clemson Tiger on the team I wouldn't bat a lash if we took him in round 2.

He looked pretty good in the Senior Bowl game and was not fully recovered from his late season injury. Looked to have good size, nice mechanics and a decent arm. First time that I think that I have seen him play.

I don't think he's rated a 2nd rounder and the 8th pick may be too high to grab him.But i could see a 3rd round pick on him. I think he has as good a chance as Cutler,Young or Croyle to be successful in the NFL. And those guys are all rated above him. I kind of liken him to Matt Schaub out of Virginia a few years back.

I'd love him in the third, would be happy with him in the second.

At 6.5 230( He is one big dude), can he move in the pocket? I've only seen him once in the pro bowl and was not that crazy about him in that very short stint.

He is not Vince Young, but he moves around in the pocket well and will take it downfield on foot if necessary. He's got pedigree from his Dad, David Whitehurst Green Bay QB.

Whitehurst intrigues me, but I have my reservations. Croyle scares the crap out of me and I cannot for the life of me figure out why he's rated as anything higher than a 4th or 5th rounder. Cutler I like, as well as Young and Leinart.

I caught a piece of the College Skills Contest on NFL Network the other day. Charlie threw 3 balls 60 + yards dead center with a recuperating arm. His accuracy on the WR exercise was dead on. I have watched this guy chew up Miami for the last 2 years in the ACC. I am definitely biased.

You know, that's true...if you're rooting for a guy that's destroyed your own team, there might be something to it. I wouldn't be adverse to drafting him, in the proper round.
