Someone turned me on to this site and I figured i'd spread the word

probably outside of my regular budget, but sounds like a great idea

each week you can order a bag of local, organic, farm fresh produce ......... they'll compile the bags and have locations throughout the city where you can pick them up

seems like a nice way to support the local farmers and get good food

was back home this past week and it was harvest for a lot of items ..... all the choices of grapes (including grape pie), apples, etc were awesome - everything was so good .... then you get regional foods like salt potatoes and beef on weck

but I digress

I'll have to check this out sometime

Community Supported Agriculture. Im a CSA member here as well. Its a great way to get produce and eggs and stuff, but you have to be willing to accept the same risk that the farmer does. You pay up front, and if he loses a crop, you lose out, too. The food however is fantastic.

Chef-to-chef looks cool, too. $15 for a medium size bag of produce is not too shabby. Thanks, Osprey!

unfortunately chef to chef has become a victim of the economy

however, i have used bountiful baskets twice this month and have been very happy

the first time was an organic basket which had a lot of good options

this last time I went for the conventional basket - for $15 I received 45lbs of produce and more broccoli than I know what to do with (which is why they invented online recipes)

i've been really happy with the quality, the selection and the ease of use with them
