Wish we could've stayed for the picture but my wife realized, after we had already checked out, that she had left her jewelry in a drawer back in the hotel room.

We ended stopping by Kasey's Tavern that was mentioned in another thread and we were given bad info. It is not remotely a Cards bar, in fact a very pro Bears bar as evidenced by the 8 foot inflatable Chicago Bear player in the window, and really not very close to the stadium, about 2 miles away.

Bad move on our part. We should have just went back to Hubbard's. When we left MH's it was not even 10am(no alcohol until then) and the placed was loaded and hopping with Cards fans. I would've liked to seen it after the alcohol started being served.

We did see Wisconsin, AZMin, Oklahoma(and wife), along with Littledavis and his son on Saturday at Mother Hubbard's.

It was so cool to see all the red in the stands. Fitz posted on his Facebook that they definitely fed off the Cards fans being there. Our fan base is building!!

Except for maybe St. Louis, there were more Cards fan at this game than any Cards road game I have been too.

Love it. Great part about that is, we now dominate the home field now too. Not like it used to be when we were outnumbered no matter where we played. U of P Stadium is now one of the hardest places to play for a road team

I took a ton of nice shots with my Nikon and will put them into a photo album for sharing at this Sunday's game.

Drop by MadJacks tailgate party and check them out! We are in center of Great Lawn about 100 yards west of band stage.

Thanks,
MadJack

What a wonderful trip and great to meet you guys on Saturday...wish we could have made it back to Mother Hubbards. Starting to look forward to a St. Louis road trip.

Best part of the game(other than the great play)...I got chills when I heard the LARRY chants near the end of the game. The best road trip Cards game I have ever attended.

That was BigRed1959 that lives in Chicago. I guess he doesn't know the town he lives in very well. Either that or he was setting you up. :p

Based upon other statements made by him, I wouldn't have trusted that information to begin with.
Agreed :). But he seemed pretty convincing. Oh well, no biggie. We went in had a beer, then left.

I even asked the bartender if there was another Kasey's Tavern nearby. There isn't.

That was quite the turn out in St. Louis, but I think we gave the run for their money in Carolina. That was a playoff game though and a place that we had rarely seen.
Yep, I forgot about that one. That was, by far, the most unexpected turnout for sure.

SORRY

that was my bad I apologize.... Its a cardinals bar WHEN THEY ARENT PLAYING THE BEARS. Every team essentially has their own little bar in Chicago except for basically Jacksonville and Arizona. My friends and I would goto Kasey's a lot and owner said he would make it officially a cards bar if we get him a flag/helmet/etc. Flag hung high outside for all games last year and game was on with sound. I havnt been back there since this year however. Sorry for the bad advice.
