Not much was expected of the Chicago Sky in 2024. Even after selecting forward duo Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Sky were in the early throes of a rebuild, three years after winning the WNBA Finals.

But thanks in part to a historic rookie season from Reese, Chicago found itself in the heat of a playoff race last September. The Sky's 2025 training camp begins Sunday, nine days before Chicago's preseason tips off, and first-year head coach Tyler Marsh is ready to bring the energy.

Marsh has experience as a coach on both NBA and WNBA staffs, and he was hired in Chicago after three years as an assistant coach on Becky Hammon's staff in Las Vegas.

In the meantime, the Sky will lean on the newly-healthy Reese-Cardoso duo -- as well as the smooth playmaking and scoring of rookie guard Hailey Van Lith -- to return to the postseason in 2025, after a quick one-year absence.
