The Kansas City Chiefs remained active on the trade market on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft, and struck an agreement with the New England Patriots to land the No. 85 pick in the third round on Friday night.
In exchange for the No. 85 selection, Kansas City sent New England its No. 95 pick in addition to a 2026 fourth-rounder.
The Chiefs ultimately decided to take California Golden Bears cornerback Nohl Williams with the No. 85 pick, cementing the depth in Kansas City's secondary after back-to-back picks on the defensive line at No. 63 and No. 66.
While Williams won't necessarily be counted on to be a starter in 2025, his upside as a developmental ball-hawk should be exciting for Chiefs fans who attend training camp later this summer.
Stay tuned to see who the Patriots will choose with the pick that they acquired from Kansas City in this trade.
