Well, none of you asked for it, but here it is. Ready and waiting to be ripped apart. Here is my best guess regarding what will happen Thursday Night.

1 Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett EDGE Texas A&M
*Takes the player who is considered the best player in the draft.

2 San Francisco 49ers Leonard Fournette RB LSU
*Shannahan wants to run the ball like he did in Atlanta. Fournette is a dynamic back who can contrbute this year and help Krik Cousins next year.

3 Chicago Bears Deshaun Watson QB Clemson
*Chicago needs a QB behind Glennon who the front office signed to appease John Fox. Watson can be the type of game manager the defensive minded Fox can work with. He is smart, athletic, and won't be asked to carry the offense.

4 Jacksonville Jaguars Solomon Thomas EDGE Stanford
*Wanted Fournette, but will settle for another front 7 player.

5 Cleveland Browns TRADE w/ TN Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina
*Cleveland gets a QB, and the Titans move back like they want. Trubisky is the type of QB that hue thinks he can develop.

6 New York Jets Jamal Adams S LSU
*Jets get a leader on defense. Too good of a player to pass up for the QBs available.

7 Los Angeles Chargers Malik Hooker S Ohio St.
*Big time centerfielder who should help the Chargers limit big plays, and take pressure off the offense.

8 Carolina Panthers Christian McCaffrey RB Stanford
*Playmaker who helps take pressure off of Cam's legs to score. Offers big upside, and will have Jonathan Stewart to keep the big hits off of him.

9 Cincinnati Bengals Jonathan Allen DT Alabama
*Bengals get a nice player for their defensive front. Can play DE or DT and will help free up Atkins.

10 Buffalo Bills OJ Howard TE Alabama
*Buffalo gets a top prospect at a position that Rich Dennison covets. Clay has struggled with injury and the offense uses 2 TE personnel a ton anyway. Will be a reliable winter weapon.

11 New Orleans Saints Reuben Foster LB Alabama
*Tone setting hitter on a defense that needs one. Can play Mike or Will. Helps the defensive remake. CB is also a need, but a CB heavy draft.

12 Tennessee TRADE w/ CLE Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio St.
*Titans get the guy they would have taken at 5. Hamstring injuries are tricky, but Lattimore is worth the gamble at this point.

13 Arizona Cardinals Patrick Mahomes QB Texas Tech
*Too much buzz for me to think otherwise with the players still on the board. High potential but a lot of work needed. Very similar to Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler in terms of arm strength and athleticism, and those are both players the team has liked previously.

14 Philadelphia Eagles Gaeron Conley CB Ohio St.
*I don't believe they will be moved by the rape charges. If things escalate in the coming days that coudl change, but as of now, details seem a little fishy.

15 Indianpolis Colts Derek Barnett EDGE Tennessee
*Pass rusher for a team that is loading up it's front 7. If McCaffrey falls, it won't be past here.

16 Baltimore Ravens Cam Robinson OT Alabama
*Ravens love premium positions in the first round, and Cam plays one. Can step in and fill a starting spot for a team looking to take a step back to the playoffs.

17 Washington Redskins Haason Reddick LB Temple
*Off ball playmaker to improve the defense. Can do a lot of things for that defense.

18 Tennessee Titans Corey Davis WR Western Michigan
*More versatile than Mike Williams, Davis gets Mariota a nice weapon who offers a bit more than some of the players they will add later.

19 Miami Dolphins TRADE w/ TB Forrest Lamp OL Western Kentucky
*Dolphins want Lamp and trade ahead of Denver to ensure they get him.

20 Denver Broncos Garrett Bowles OT Utah
*Denver gets a nice LT, but one who is not as polished as Lamp.

21 Detroit Lions Mike Williams WR Clemson
*Lions take a big possession WR to diversify their receiving corp.

22 Tampa Bay Bucaneers TRADE w/ MIA Tre'Davious White CB LSU
*Tampa wants a RB, but the two best ones have baggage. They take a ready made CB instead who can play both inside and outside.

23 New York Giants David Njoku TE Miami
*Giants need a middle of the field weapons to fill out their offense. Njoku fills that role.

24 Oakland Raiders Jarrad Davis ILB Florida
*Physical pressence inside to keep building the defense.

25 Houston Texans Ryan Ryamchk OT Wisconsin
*I didn't even bother to try and look up the last name. Helps out at RT which the run based offense will need. savage needs to be protected.

26 Seattle Seahawks Kevin King CB Washington
*He fits the mold. No other OL worth this spot.

27 Kansas City Chiefs Davis Webb QB California
*He fits better than Kizer IMO.

28 Dallas Cowboys Charles Harris EDGE Missouri
*Pass rusher for a defense who really needs one.

29 Green Bay Packers TJ Watt EDGE Wisconsin
*Edge effort rusher similar to Clay Matthews.

30 Pittsburgh Steelers Budda Baker S Washington
*Steelers get a versatile player in the backend. Both a bunch of things well.

31 Atlanta Falcons Takkarist McKinley EDGE UCLA
*Another edge player to put opposite of Beasley. Keeps building the defense with big athletes.

32 New Orleans Saints Chidobe Awuzie CB Colorado
*Versatile secondary player who can help right away. Can do everything.

As always, comment away. Ask why certain guys aren't in the group and/or why I am thinking the way I am thinking. Keep it real.

i have heard nearly every credible Cardinal media follower say something like this:

Cardinals want one of a group of defensive players ( the usual suspects +Hasan Reddick), but if they are gone they will try to trade down to pick up an extra 3rd and then look to take a QB if one is there. If they cant trade down, they take a QB at 13.

The Shanclan has made a career out of getting 1200-yard seasons out of undrafted free agents. Difficult for me to see them taking a bonus baby RB out of the gate when two good prospects will be there in Round 2 and later.

Imma be pretty disappointed if we overdraft Mahomes. I think that the Cards are smarter than the average fan on this board who is desperate for a plan beyond Carson Palmer, who I think will play for two more years, if not more.

Conley is a dead man falling down and off draft boards.

Shocked if the Bears draft a QB at #3.

Can't believe the 9ers will draft a RB at #2.

HATE the Cards taking Mahone's at #13.

Do respect your opinion and football knowledge but I don't see the top of the draft unfolding this way.

I'm all for teams over drafting this years QB crop as long as the Cards don't join that party.

All besides Watson I think this is the closest I've seen to how I think Thursday night will pan out. I'll walk away from night one satisfied, crossing my fingers that Peppers falls to #45.

Nice draft. I would change the Conley pick. I don't think any team will even think about him before the fifth round.

Mahomes: a pick that would be exhilarating and terrifying at the same time.

I think this mock is just as good as any you'll see from Kiper, Mayoch, etc. It will be interesting to see who on the board is closer to the real deal between them & the experts. I'd put my money on ASFN.

Detroit Lions pick WR Mike Williams... Shades of Matt Millen!!

A note of trivia that may interest only me... On the list of the 10 worst picks of the Millen era.. Williams being No. 1...our own Drew Stanton is No. 7.

If the Cardinals stay at #13 I hope they draft a QB. Otherwise I would prefer they trade down for additional assets.

The Mahomes to Cardinals buzz at 13 has got some legs to it. It's a high possibility. They are apparently impressed with his quick processing of schemes.

If they draft a QB, it will be yet another wasted #1 draft pic that won't see the field for his first or even his second year.

Is it wasted though if that player does pan out in year 3 or are you just looking at this from our current window view? Just curious.

I get it. Taking a RB at #2 is not the norm, and is especially abnormal for a Shanahan offense. Here is the reasoning. Fournette is considered a top 10 talent. I think SF would like to trade back, but I don't think they will be able to. That leaves only a couple options at #2.

1-Solomon Thomas. Another highly rated player, but it would make 3 DL players in 3 years. Also, his scheme fit is a bit of a question mark.

2-DB. Lattimore or Adams could be an option, but Lattimore has nagging hamstring issues and you would be giving Adams top S money as a rookie. Also, Lattimore has very limited game film.

3-Fournette. Shanahan wants to run the ball. Fournette is a great runner of the ball. This enables their offense to have a weapon independent of their QB, but still is capable of breaking big plays. Also gives help to Cousins who they expect to sign as a FA next year. For 5 years, Fournette will be a primary ball carrier, and Shanahan can pick a mid round guy to supplement carries and build the two back system Shanahan wants long term.

RE: Mahomes...it is only disappointing if it doesn't work out. If Mahomes is a 10 year QB, no one cares if we take him at 13 or 25. Facts are that the first round gives an extra year of cost control which is more valuable than saving money. I could be getting duped, but I have heard too much info from too many different people to believe the Cards are completely uninterested in a QB at 13 and Mahomes is the guy who I believe they like the best. I don't love the idea either, but they seem locked in.

Nice draft. I would change the Conley pick. I don't think any team will even think about him before the fifth round.

It depends on what comes out. There are two things that works in his favor.

1-The timing the information is released.

2-That other people were present.

So, if the other parties confirm his story, teams will be much more comfortable taking him.
