Making his first appearance since being sent down to Tucson Capuano gave up 7 runs and 8 hits last night as the Sidewinders lost 10-4 to Edmonton.

I like Capuano a lot but I don't think he'll be 100% until next year. They say it takes a good 18 months to fully recover from Tommy John surgery.

Hmmm...Seems to me another tall lefty got knocked around in the minors this week... maybe it's just a cosmic glitch.
While I agree that Cappy likely won't be 100% strength till next ST (and was horrified they called him up in May) - last night's game followed his flying in from Memphis and the Triple-A Allstar game very late the night before.

He's been great in Tucson, he looked fine once he got his feet under him last outing up here - I believe (knock on wood) come September he'll potentially be a valuable call-up.

Cappy is definitely a "work in the making" ... no one expected him to pull duty with the big club this season... or even next, but he's already given a glimpse of his talents to look forward to--RJ won't be around forever...
