LEXINGTON, Ky. — One of Auburn basketball's key reserve forwards went down with an apparent ankle injury in the first half of the Tigers' NCAA Tournament round of 64 contest against Alabama State, and his status to return is unclear.

Chris Moore, who went up for a layup and drew a whistle against the Hornets at the first half's 12:20 mark, appeared to roll his left ankle when coming down. He was subbed out for his free throw attempts and went directly to the locker room.

He has since returned to Auburn's bench, attempting to walk off the injury and use a stationary bike.

Moore, a fifth-year senior, has played in 33 games this year but made just four starts. In that span, he has 1.2 points in 10.7 minutes per game, as well as 1.6 rebounds.

Who replaces Chris Moore in Auburn basketball's lineup?

The likeliest replacement for Moore would be reserve forward Ja'Heim "Turtle" Hudson, who has played just two minutes today.

In 26 games, Hudson has averaged 1.5 points on 6.0 minutes this season.
