I've got Heroes on pause so I can post here while I build up enough space I can blow through commercials on Heroes and Journeyman.

This show's in a good time slot. It appeals to the right demographic. I predict it will stick for at least 3 seasons, and in 10 years 20somethings pushing 30 will get on ASFN's television board and wax sentimental about how much fun this show was. The rest of us will probably watch a few episodes but may forget to watch it a few times and ultimately lose track of it without any anxiety.

It's not one of the shows you rave about the writing and acting, but I will say I know enough about TV production to know this kind of show is harder to pull off than it looks. You have to write dumb to keep the pre-teens engaged without letting on that you're pandering to them. It's well casted, even if Joshua Gomez is doing an annoying Seth Green imitation that is probably drawing raves from producers who think reproduction of anything previously successful = talent. It might just draw a few kudos from family entertainment watchdogs; even though there's "adult situations" content, they never really go there and Chuck says "gosh" a lot.

Favorite character? Captain Awesome. Wish I had thought of that one. That's actually a good premise for a spin off. Give me more Captain Awesome.

For some reason my intelligence wasn't offended upon learning a Stanford CIS grad was making $11 an hour running the show for faux Best Buy. That's just the kind of show it is. You think too much and you end up doing laundry or something other than vegetating in front of the TV while waiting for the premiere of a show you're pretty sure is going to end up disappointing you.

Man was that nice. The show is pretty good, but she makes it damned good. I think this is one I will watch every week. The part where she is strapping the knives around her ankle.... :thud:

Great pilot...I enjoyed Chuck, he seemed like a perfect actor to cast in that role.

Also Baldwin from Firefly...fun to see him in something.

It's interesting to me which projects people relate to certain actors.

To this day...I can't see him (Adam Baldwin) in a movie or TV series without thinking of My Bodyguard.

This show is pretty damned good. Great casting all around I think. The show kind of suffers from the Heroes over-dramatization, but outside of that it is very enjoyable.

Dude landed a helicopter. Without any training.

I love the realism of this show.

I'd be surprised if this lasts more than one season.

I'd be surprised if it lasts past the midseason break.

It's terrible.

I have given it 2 shots and I was not impressed with either episode.

Fake Jim from Office isn't that great of a lead.

This has been a pretty disappointing breed of new shows thus far for me.

Hopefully Moonlight is good Friday night. I've recorded Journeyman's 2nd ep but haven't watched that yet.

No comment on the Lost reference??

When he was looking at images with the Dr. and rattling off all the secret facts on the couch one of them was "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down..." before they cut away.

I think it is pretty funny. My issue is realism. You really have to suspend all sense of reason.

Also, I want more Marlon and Buy More and less Sister and Mr. Awesome.

I do agree that this will probably get cut quickly.

Heroes and Lost are two of the top shows on TV and people say Chuck isn't real enough?

There is a different between "goofy unrealism" and just regular entertainment stuff.

I mean, flying around in a helicopter and landing it with no experience was a goofy scene.

But things like Lost, as least if that situation were REAL, you can believe those things happening.
