The Cincinnati Bengals will have plenty of chances to keep upgrading the roster during the 2025 NFL draft on Friday and Saturday after using the first round to add Texas A&M DE Shemar Stewart.
Those Bengals still need more help in the trenches on both sides of the football. They also project to take a close look at linebackers and defensive backs with their remaining five picks in the draft.
That said, Duke Tobin and the Bengals are also relatively infamous for trading back in the second round. Without a typical allotment of seven selections, that could be on the menu again on Friday.
Until then, here's a look at an upgraded Bengals mock draft after Round 1, formed with help from PFN's mock draft machine.
The Bengals might've considered Grey Zabel in Round 1 before picking Stewart. Even if they didn't, Jonah Savaiinaea is really hard to ignore here as a possible plug-and-play starter. It would be a great value and stop them from being forced into starting two of Cody Ford, Cordell Volson and Lucas Patrick next year.

The hunt to replace Jessie Bates continues. Maybe Jordan Battle and Geno Stone turn a corner next year under Al Golden. If they don't, Andrew Mukuba appears to have the range and smarts to play that deep role. The only knock is the weight on his frame, something pro trainers can help him address.
Come on...Georgia player with lots of experience and production? Smael Mondon has Bengals written all over him. He put up north of 200 tackles over four seasons and showed he could hang in coverage while also downhill thumping. They need to think about life after Germaine Pratt.
Boring? Maybe. But the Bengals aren't likely to just sit on their current defensive line after the Stewart pick. They need to get B.J. Hill some more help while Kris Jenkins Jr. and McKinnley Jackson develop. Jamaree Caldwell has an almost wicked burst off the snap for someone his size (332 pounds) and he could surprise in the rotation.
Sure to be a local fan favorite, Corey Kiner would come in and push the depth chart behind Chase Brown, Zack Moss and Samaje Perine. They need better depth there and nothing is necessarily guaranteed for the two guys behind Brown.
