Class 5A boys basketball: Tulsa Booker T. Washington cruises past Lawton for 17th title

Tulsa Booker T. Washington boys basketball is taking home its 17th gold ball.

The Hornets cruised past Lawton 68-44 in the Class 5A state title game Saturday at State Fair Arena, winning their first championship since 2019.

Booker T. Washington had five players score in double figures — LJ Scott (14 points), Mason Matulis (14), Isaac Sanders (12), Joc Mitchell (12) and BJ Harris (11).

Tavaris Deans led Lawton with 15 points.
