Saw Clayton on ESPN tonight. Said he expects deal done in 48 hours. Would be done already if Eagles would stop insisting on a first along with DRC. This just amazes me.

Clayton also added Denver was having a tough time getting a second or even third for Orton. I wish the Cards would go get Orton and tell the Eagles to shove it.

Schefter says deal for Kolb will happen. He is sure of it.

I realize it's a lost cause now, but I still believe getting orton for just a 2 or 3 is the better choice.

Just stunning that it seems like a better idea to give up a 2 and DRC, compared to a 3 for Orton. Kolb sure as hell better put up significantly better #'s than Orton over the next couple years, or this will be an absolute disaster. For what we're giving up, he better be a top 10 QB. I just don't see it.

Taking it from another point of view. IF there is truth to the rumors that the Cardinals want to be rid of DRC because of attitude problems, we STILL should deal with Denver because in a trade of DRC for Orton, we may be able to get a pick back or at the very least, not have to give up a high draft pick of our own. Orton can lead us to the NFC West championship with less cost and risk that Kolb...why is this so hard for our front office to see?

What this tells me is the Cardinals really don't like Orton. No way Kolb should command so much more in a trade.

Its sad seeing so many of our former first round picks bashed on various boards. Davis, Rolle, Leinart, Levi, DRC, and Beanie.

The Cards should just trade all their future first round picks to save time.

what this tells me is that Fitz is calling the shots. he wants Kolb and we have to do what he wants or he'll LeBron us... for good reason.

Then we'd be the Suns.

The most boring (or something) day of the year most of the last 10 years? A Suns fan on NBA draft night.

So does Fitz resign immediately or is he gonna wait and see? ;)

Rumor is that the 4and9ers are going to release Nate Clements. If that happens the chances improve that Fitz will stay because he won't have to deal with Clements twice a year anymore.

On a positive note it would add another veteran cb to the pool, either allowing us a shot at Clements or another guy down the list to replace DRC if he is traded.

I wouldn't mind saying it's Clements-(t)ime

I would like DRC & a 3rd. So I cant cry about DRC & a 2nd.

He better be better than Orton, with that much price difference.
