I'd be all for Clement. The guy has a ton of skill, and it looks like he finally put it all together.

I don't know why people are taking the word of a radio guy in LA about the Dbacks signings but oh well. I haven't heard a report of him signing here but according XTRA 910 he was visiting here.

He'd be a solid addition but I don't think we are going to sign him ... he wants a lot of $$ from what I've heard

690 Xtra LA ... Hacksaw broke the story

I doubt that, after all these years since he left the Phoenix market, Lee ""Hacksaw" Hamilton has any real connections in the Valley.

Some of those replies are humorous. Everyone wondering where the Dbacks are getting all the money. They really haven't spent that much when you look at the salaries we got rid of. I think Estes is coming rather than Clement. :(

I thought the word from Clements was, he would sign with the Astros or retire?

Yeah, exactly. The yearly salary as it stands right now would be right at about $70M if Clement were to sign (did the fuzzy math in my head, so dont quote me on that), which is still a lot less than the Opening Day 2004 payroll.
