Clemson will not retain assistant coach Steve Smith following his apparent involvement in the nationwide NCAA basketball corruption scandal. "Clemson Athletics has not renewed the contract of assistant men's basketball coach Steve Smith, which expired on April 30, 2019,” the school said in a statement on Friday. Head coach Brad Bronwell said in a statement that he supported the decision to not renew Smith's contract.
