I don't remember any team being set up so well for a draft. Here is just one or two of the mocks I have done for them. They all seem to be great simply because of where they sit in each round and the quality of players available each time their pick comes up. Of course they have a lot to play with. Especially if they move down once or twice. Personally, I think they should stay right where they are since they have so many picks already.

Rd 1 Pk 1 - Deshaun Watson (QB) Clemson
Rd 1 Pk 12 - Solomon Thomas (DE 3/4) Stanford
Rd 2 Pk 33 - Christian McCaffrey (RB) Stanford
Rd 2 Pk 50 - Jourdan Lewis (CB) Michigan
Rd 3 Pk 65 - Pat Elflein (G) Ohio State
Rd 3 Pk 103 - Kendell Beckwith (ILB) LSU
Rd 4 Pk 139 - Chris Godwin (WR) Penn State
Rd 4 Pk 141 - Trent Taylor (WR) Louisiana Tech
Rd 5 Pk 146 - Josh Carraway (OLB 3/4) TCU
Rd 5 Pk 176 - Tedric Thompson (FS) Colorado
Rd 5 Pk 181 - Davis Webb (QB) California
Rd 6 Pk 187 - Ejuan Price (OLB 3/4) Pittsburgh

They only get better each time I mock them. This next one is out of this world, although pick 50 surely won't be there. But the others are possible:

Rd 1 Pk 1 - Garrett, Myles, OLB 3/4, A&M
Rd 1 Pk 12 - Foster, Reuben, ILB, Alabama
Rd 2 Pk 33 - Watson, Deshaun, QB, Clemson
Rd 2 Pk 50 - Thomas, Solomon, DE 3/4, Stanford
Rd 3 Pk 65 - McCaffrey, Christian, RB, Stanford
Rd 3 Pk 103 - Price, Billy, OG, Ohio St
Rd 4 Pk 139 - Kazee, Damontae, CB, San Diego St
Rd 4 Pk 141 - Dupre, Malachi, WR, LSU
Rd 5 Pk 146 - Ford, Johnathan, FS, Auburn
Rd 5 Pk 176 - Chesson, Jehu, WR, Michigan
Rd 5 Pk 181 - Golladay, Kenny, WR, No Illinois
Rd 6 Pk 187 - Godwin, Chris, WR, Penn St

They will not draft a QB in the first round. RGIII played well when healthy so there's not the need this time around. They need defensive help badly.

I saw a video on youtube talking about teams historical draft positions. Browns were at the top obviously, with an average draft position of #5 overall.

So to say this franchise on average has the 5th pick every year, and yet they are still this dysfunctional, tells me it doesnt matter. This team is broken from the top down.

and if you were curious, AZ was in the middle with an average draft position of #15. Seems right.

Seen this episode of the Browns before. Two first round picks, multiple second day picks; all busts.

But now they will use advanced analytics to make their picks, so they will finally get it right :)

Hope their new management is as smart as advertised because if they do pick really well and those players become attractive NFL players then they will have a very young relatively cheap payroll right up until they all become FA at the same time. A couple years of this puts a lot of pressure on the front office.

The draft is their only hope because the only FAs that will go there will be guys looking to get overpaid and don't care about winning.

I don't think a fat man with gas could stink up this draft from where the Browns sit. I have run the scenario so many times with so many different picks by other teams in front of them, and their choices left in each round in their current positions keep coming up smelling like a rose.
