As I recall the Suns seriously considered him last summer. He preformed very well for the Cavs and I think he actually became a fan favorite in Cleveland. He could be a person that could add some depth and muscle (weight). Add him to the list of possible FAs.

His salary last year was very similar to McCarty's.

To start the season I was not very high on Traylor. However, he seems to be trying to do better. That being said, he is limited. I don't think D'Antoni will play a bulky guy like him. I think eventually we will sign a guy along the lines of a Steven Hunter. Someone taller and leaner. Just a feeling. ;)

The Suns recruited Trayor fairly hard last summer, but in the end lacked the money to do anything. Perhaps they've changed their minds, but he certainly qualifies as a "big body" they said they would get.

I remember watching the game where the Suns blew about a 20 point lead to Lebron, and I was surprised at how quick Traylor seemed for his size, and he has decent skills. I think he'd be a great pickup, and probably not too expensive.

This team needs someone that will put Parker and Ginobili on their ass when they get in the lane and Traylor fits that mold. Is Fortson a free agent? :D

I was thinking that too. Here is my reasoning... His value would be measured by
A. His actual contribution on the floor.

but more importantly,

B. I believe he would be less likely to dish a career ending injury to one of his teammates.

So really, it is insurance that Amare and others will continue to be productive for years to come.
