The Cavs signed the guy that I wanted the Suns to pick up as their 13th guy. Kaniel Dickens of the NBDL. The guy is a beast. Dickens has averaged 20.4 points on .472 shooting, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 31.3 minutes per game.

I think the Cavs deal will help them get into the Top 3 at least in the East.

D-League stats do not translate to the NBA - just look at how dominant Strawberry and Tucker were in the D-League. In no way is this going to tip any balance of power, even in the East. :)

Watch the Cavs game tonight if you want to see him in action. With their two new d-league players, they'll still only have 8 players suited up for the game.

Jlove or anyone, do you have a good link for waiver wire material? I would like to have it.

Yes I have. I've been a big fan of his. In the Cavs game with only having 8 players suit up, was not a good indication of they way he plays or the team that has the type of game that would fit with his game. He works better in an open style of play, ala Suns and Warriors. If he was on the Suns (or Warriors), he would show his true abilities better. He's a very defensive oriented wing player, that has the ability to hit the 3. You know, everything the Suns needed and signed Linton Johnson. Don't get me wrong, I like Linton's game, but Dickens would have been a better fit for us.

I was really impressed by his athleticism and strength however it did not transfer much over to the game. However, he probably just arrived and suited up. He is well worth watching and the type of player the Suns should pick up in the future to fill out their roster for development.
