Close Encounters of the Dbacks kind

I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Jay Bell's dad Ron, yesterday. I mistook him for one of those section workers and asked him when the Dbacks would have BP. (This was at Hi Corbett and they apparently do BP at TEP and arrive just before game time- didn't know that). We ended up talking for over an hour. Extremely nice man. I have heard how respected Jay is and what a good guy he was during his playing days. When Jay arrived I spoke to him only breifly but told him what a delightful man his father is.
Also spotted Gonzo and family at a local mall here about a month back. Just doing the "normal person" thing, and I don't think anyone really recognized him. He apparently has a house a couple of miles from my house.

Pretty funny/sad that we remember his girlfriend more than him. Wonder if the poor guy has a complex???
