CNN The Eighties

CNN examines “The Eighties,” a series in which each hourlong episode looks at the events and individuals that helped shape the decade. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are producers, in association with HBO and Mark Herzog.


This premiers Thursday, March 31st on CNN. I'm not sure if anyone has watched the Sixties or the Seventies from this same group, but I have loved those documentaries and am very much looking forward to the eighties. They do 8 episodes and break them down thematically. The first episode of each of the 3 series has been on television and its impacts on culture.

If you're a nerd like me, watch the series. You might enjoy it.

I watched some of the "60's", that was really good.

As a "child of the 80's", I feel less interested in reliving that decade.
