OXFORD — Ole Miss women's basketball and coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin have landed another transfer portal starter from Mississippi State.
MSU guard Denim DeShields committed to Ole Miss on April 21. The 5-foot-5 DeShields will be a senior at Ole Miss.
Debreasha Powe also transferred to Ole Miss.
DeShields is the eighth player in Ole Miss' transfer portal class.
DeShields averaged 3.2 assists, which was the No. 2 mark for MSU, and 5.7 points. She comes from an athletic family. Deshields' mother, Tisha, ran track at Tennessee and was an All-American. Her father, Delino, played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball. Her brother, Delino Jr. also played seven seasons in the MLB. Her older sister, Diamond, is in the WNBA.
