Just Tweeted that he's no longer with the team.

If it's a June 1st cut, we are at $21,642,087 under the CAP - minus yesterday's signing.

Expected, but still a little bit scary. Looking like we'll have two "rookies" (Coop/Watford) at guard next year, with Fanaika as backup. I would expect a cheap veteran guard to be signed in College's place.

According to Somers Dead money: $4.55 million. Cap figure was $7.74. cap savings: $2.25m

Yeah... but he doesn't know whether its been designated as a June 1 cut.

$19,367,087 in CAP room minus yesterdays deal if it's immediate.

Colledge will be a June 1 designation, meaning $4.55 cap hit spread over two years.
And there we have it.

And there we have it.

Thus: $21,642,087 under the CAP - minus Carlson signing - in total...

But, we have to carry the full amount of his contract until June 1st... so we are $17,062,087 under the CAP at this point minus the Carlson deal.

Colledge seemed like a good guy, but I'm not too sad to see him go. Both the Snyder and Colledge signings were puzzling and bizarre at the time, and they pretty much played out as expected.

Watford is intriguing, but there will definitely be some competition at that spot.

I realize Colledge was making too much but he had a very good season. I agree it is a little scary moving forward.

Colledge was far from our worst FA signing and played fairly well, just not 7+mill per year well.

Good luck Darren, thanks for playing through injury and pain last year.

Best of luck to him where ever he ends up.

This move needed to be done. I am not worried in the least that he has been cut, since Cooper will be playing LG, and at worst Fanaika will play RG.

This team won 10 games with Fanaika at RG so I am not sure what the concern is.

The curse of Rod Graves lives on. What is that $15M in dead money this year from the bad contracts that Graves worked. :bang:

Colledge was solid at guard. Unfortunately Graves pushed a bunch of his money into the future making Colledge way too expensive to keep.

We won't need that 4m until after June 1st. It basically pays for our rookies this year and they don't need to be signed until after that.

MJ said something to the effect that Colledge played last year with a fracture in his leg. It was his best year as a Cardinal, no question about it. Thank you, Daryn---best wishes to you and your family.

In TC he sat out for awhile and it was reported as nerve damage IIRC but then it did become known it was a fracture. Huge kudo's to DC for playing through the pain and doing a pretty decent job.

Thanks for reminding me Mitch.

Thanks Mitch. We can always count on you to keep things straight for us. Bless you Daryn Colledge for being there when we needed you. You are a class act, and you deserve the very best in the future. Thank you for your help.

I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with him. A truly great guy. Gives everything he has on every play. He knows it isn't always great but no one is perfect in the trenches. I wish him all the best. Another good guy good football player and friend to the fans.

Thank you and good luck wherever your travels bring you!

One of the Cardinals' better free agent signings IMO. He was a solid guard who played through injury and never missed a regular season game as a Cardinal.

Best wishes Daryn!

cant blame the guy for signing on the dotted line when the money was offered....and he did it with a huge grin,lol.... regardless,.. he always appeared to be doing his very best to earn that money and often he was our only o-lineman that did....peace and good luck Mr Colledge
