Auburn basketball sustained an SEC Tournament semifinal loss on Saturday to Tennessee, 70-65, ending their run for a second-straight tournament crown.
Much like in the first meeting between these programs, offense was scarce. Neither team shot above 43% from the field, the percentage was much lower from beyond the arc. Auburn struggled from the free-throw line, shooting 59% compared to Tennessee's 93% success rate. The Tigers also lost the rebound battle, 35-27.
The loss was Auburn's third over its last four games, which raises concern for the upcoming NCAA Tournament that begins next week. Fans on social media shared concerns over Auburn's recent downfall, as well as their frustrations with the game's officiating crew. Pat Adams plays a role in another game
Has Tennessee written the blueprint on how to beat Auburn?*

He does not hide it
Just another week to get right
Sucks not to win the SEC Tournament title, but it’s not the end of the world for this team.
Got some things that need to be fixed, time to fix some of them, and some time to rest. Auburn has the same ceiling if it can get everyone going.

Everybody gets a review
How bad are they, you ask?
The last 14.8 seconds of Auburn-Tennessee took long enough that I got through four sets of two different exercises. That is... too long.

Selection Sunday just got more interesting
The NCAA Tournament isn’t about who the best team’s been all season. It’s about who’s playing their best right now!
Auburn started 27-2 and has now lost 3 of 4. Tigers still on path to be #1 overall seed, which has to be a first for a team that finished 1-3.

Could Houston or Florida benefit from recent events?
Between Cooper Flagg’s injury and Auburn dropping 3 of 4, the national title suddenly feels a LOT more wide open than it did a week ago.
