Adam Vinatieri kicked a 48-yard field goal, and the Indianapolis Colts had a 3-0 lead over the New York Giants heading into the second quarter on Monday night. The Colts defense got off to a solid start after it was shredded by Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 51-34 loss last Sunday. The unit limited the Giants to two first downs in three-plus possessions. The Colts scored the first time they had the ball, going 58 yards in 11 plays before setting for Vinatieri's 17th field goal in as many attempts.
