well -- it makes me feel a little better about DRC's almost premature strut into the endzone against the Texans. At least DRC made it.

Not that it's an excuse, but it's pretty clear he had no idea that guy was right behind him.

I saw that live.

It was hilarious.

But.... Everything went against the Niners yesterday.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
Idiot. That's what you get for holding the ball like a loaf of bread.

What makes it funny is even if he scored he was in no position to showboat. a td there would have made it 35-17 falcons.

exactly what I was thinking... congrats you got a pick-6 and your STILL down 18...

It made me soo happy to see the niners implode like this.. I think it was a wake up call to the bay area, I guess Ratto may have been premature afterall..

WHO KNEW?

If the opinion of sports writers meant anything I might be slightly upset, but I could care less. All of those years seeing the Suns #1 or 2 on NBA power rankings with zero finals appearances to show for it taught me a lesson.

People are mad at DRC for high stepping but I don't care, as long as you make it into the endzone and don't get a flag thrown on a HUGE play like that you can celebrate. Had we been down 20 and he did that, I'd be pissed. Had he done what dipstick dre did, I'd be livid.

DRC has the right to be happy about a pick 6 and entitled to celebrate; just do it when you've alread scored FCOL.

He could've and should've been flagged for taunting...

Has no one learned a thing from Leon Lett?

Be professionial and dont let up until you've crossed the goal line!!!!

i may be wrong but I am pretty sure you can't be flagged for taunting during a play. Reggie Bush didn't get flagged for pointing at the Bears players during his touchdown run in the playoff a few years ago, Deion used to start his dance before he got in the endzone, Rod Hood didn't get fined when he walked backwards slowly into the endzone a few years ago. It's not taunting unless you do something towards the other team after a play. I'm almost positive.

The difference between DRC and Bly is that DRC knew exactly where the closest guy was and there was no chance he'd be caught unless he dropped the ball. Bly had no clue White was right there.

Honestly, does it matter?? IMO, both guys are morons for what they did. DRC apologized after the game and today, Whiz made some comments to the media regarding his "discussion" with DRC on this issue, and feels that we won't see anything like that again...

Bly is an utter moron. Whether he knew White was there or not, he was not even across midfield! They were getting pounded and even if he scored, it would have meant squat.
This is no different that one of the many other me-first/look at me idiots that rome the NFL these days, who, after making a tackle for no gain late in the 2nd half of a game while their team is getting crushed, starts his stupid celebration dance and screams for the video cameras to look his way! The NFL is filled with these guys. It's an epidemic and it sucks...

I agree with you overall. there are degrees of stupidity, I'm just saying Bly was a bit dumber than DRC.

Of course, Sanders had to reward the stupidity by making him #3 on his Prime Time list. You know if he hadn't mimicked one of his old moves DRC wouldn't have made the list at all, much less #3,

that wasn't even the worst knucklehead play off the game IMHO.
Franklin falling asleep at the goalline.
Josh Morgan slowing down on a breakway catch...thinking he had already scored.

Bly's interception/fumble comes after those two plays....
