The Washington Commanders opened organized team activities (OTAs) this week, and no one was more excited to be back in the building than star quarterback Jayden Daniels.

In his rookie season, Daniels started and played in all 17 games, completing 331 passes for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns while adding 148 carries for 891 yards and six touchdowns. He threw just nine interceptions on the season and fumbled the ball three times.

After setting a new record for most Rookie of the Week appearances and earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, it's no wonder the star of the team can't contain his enthusiasm for returning to work. He, along with first-year general manager Adam Peters and first-year head coach Dan Quinn, took the Commanders to the NFC Championship in 2024, their best season since 1991.

Not all of the Commanders' players will be there for voluntary workouts, specifically the players they haven't drafted yet, but when your team leader is ready to go, you better be ready to go, too.

There's a lot of work to be done, and this is just the beginning. The real work begins when the draft ends and the rookies begin their integration into the NFL.
