The NFL league meetings are being held in Palm Beach, Fla., this week with NFL head coaches, general managers and other front office personnel coming together to discuss possible rule changes, and a multitude of topics.

This is the first time the local and national media gets to address the coaching staff and front office of teams after free agency. Washington Commanders general Adam Peters spoke to the media Monday morning, and Terry McLaurin was a name that popped up for a good reason. Kay Adams from "Up & Adams" sat down with Peters and asked him about when an extension for Terry McLaurin could happen.

"We love Terry. We've had some really good conversations with his representatives," he said. "We want to make Terry a Commander for a long time."

This should be music to Commanders fans' ears as McLaurin is a fan favorite and deserves to be here for the rest of his career. The 2019 third-round draft pick out of Ohio State played through countless quarterback changes and an unstable front office for his entire career before making it to his first NFC Championship Game in 2024 under new ownership and coaching.

McLaurin had the best season of his career in 2024 with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, finishing with 82 catches for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 receiving touchdowns. The wide receiver market shows that McLaurin could earn anywhere from $30-$34 million per year. The projected extension would put the 29-year-old wide receiver on track to being a Washington Commander for life.
