I am becoming fed up with my computer. For a while now both IE and Firefox will freeze up when I am surfing the web (different sites, not one in particular). Also, I have the newest Adobe Acrobat on my computer, but whenever I try to open a PDF from my browser, the browser freezes.

Any ideas on what might be wrong or how to fix it? I have a Dell with 3.06 Ghz and 512 MB. I have a 37.2 GB hard drive which is 50% filled.

You might want to check for updates for the Adobe I know I was having the same issue opening .pdf files until I did an update.
