Concussion forces Vonn to miss race (AP)

Three-time World Cup champion Lindsey Vonn pulled out of Friday's World Cup slalom after sustaining a concussion in a crash during practice. Vonn decided to drop out of the race and rest. The American star told The Associated Press on the eve of the race that she had suffered a concussion in a heavy crash in Austria two days ago and was day-to-day.
