I just wanted to stop by and offer my congratulations to the Suns for a great game.

It is clear that the Suns have picked up their defense considerably. If this stays consistent throughout the year, this might be the element that pushes the Suns over the top.

Grant Hill is a monster and is probably the biggest pick up in the off season next to the Garnett trade.

All in all--great game by the Suns.

I will be pulling for you guys against the Mavs...

and I say - great effort by your team w/ Parker out.
Season long dogfight.
Hilarious that Duncan cries on almost every call agianst the Spurs - except the one where he obviously hacked Amare.
All good as long as Bowen doesn't kick anyone in the nuts or look to place his foot so that an airborne Sun lands on it and rolls it.

Greetings Suns Fans. Gutty effort by your team late in the 4th. Even without Parker, beating the Spurs at home takes hard work.
The Spurs were able to make Nashie work as evidenced by his lower than usual numbers, but at the same time, that Skinner pickup was a pretty good one by former Spur Steve Kerr(hey that rhymes).
I look forward to a matchup in the near future when both teams are fully healthy.
Again good game.

Oh yeah... there are 2 g's in Gregg...Greg.

Remember, the Spurs were rolling over teams without Duncan--what makes them all of a sudden become a mediocre team when Duncan is back and Parker is out? Is Parker that much more important than Duncan? The Spurs are still a good team with or without Parker, so it was a good win. Not a great win, but a good one nonetheless.

thanks a lot greg, classy as always. great job without parker in there, vaughn did an excellent job tonight. i think the suns realized that they need to let duncan get his points while keeping amare out of foul trouble while shutting down the rest of the spurs. i noticed the suns did a pretty good job covering the open corner 3's too, which was apparent in bowen's 0 points. Skinner was good for us on duncan and on the boards. Grant is doing wonderful things for this team both defensively and in the half-court offense.

For what it's worth, Nash is working his way through a couple of nagging injuries which are affecting his ability to shoot right now. Look at his FG% recently and you'll see quite a few games that are very un-Nash like.

I didn't think the hack was at all obvious - but the straight arm to Amare's chest was as it jolted him backward. Looked like Tim put a little mustard on it out of frustration. He probably put his hand up so quick because it was the kind of situation you can get tagged for a flagrant - opponent airborne and you hit him with a hard shot that is not a play on the ball. If someone hit Manu like that he'd flop into the 17th row and probably draw a flagrant.

Its always a great win in Sterns land. I don't care who was missing. They hadn't lost at home until last night even without Duncan. So, it was huge. In the end people will only look at win/loss at the end of the season or when they keep brining up the win/loss differential between the Suns and the Sterns.

Really? I thought for sure this was the real Gregg Popovich. :(

Nice of you guys to show up, Greg is always a good guest. Entertaining game, but can't take too much out of it with Parker out. Still, Grant Hill looks like a great addition, and Boris had his first promising performance in awhile. It reminded me of the days where he was just a nightmare matchup...too fast for bigs, too big for guards. We'll see what happens when Parker is back.

well you know fans are going to point right to injuries when things don't go their way. Like duncan playing hurt in the 2005 playoffs....despite scoring over 40 in that game 7. I'd imagine if marion, nash, or amare were out someone would say something as well. I think the spurs have played great regardless of their health in recent years. they have been healthy in the playoffs when it counts though. If the suns would of lost that game people would of said worse things. So it's still a great victory considering they've only won a couple of times in that buiding in recent years. Don't take any shame in the fact that parker was hurt.....that's no fault of the suns. And yes you brought up a great point about duncan. the spurs played very well vs. dallas without duncan. They played much better without him......when compared to previous games that they've played vs. dallas with him. not to say that is the norm.......because I'd imagine over a long period of time any team could break them down without their star player missing. but any great team should be able to handle 1 game without one of their star players. SAVE JORDAN of corse.
