Ok, no surprise in Dwight Howard winning another Defensive Player of the Year award.

http://www.nba.com/2011/news/04/18/dwight-howard-defensive-player-release/index.html

Our 38 year young small forward finished seventh overall and even received one first place vote.

I'm not sure when the all-defensive teams will be announced, but given his overall position on the DPotY ballot and considering that three players ahead of him are centers (Howard, Bogut, Chandler), there may be a chance for Grant to make the all-defensive first team. Of course, LeBron is right behind him and will probably snatch a spot, but who knows.

Either way, it's nice to see that recognition for Grant - especially since our defensive this year wasn't that great overall...

Nice to see him on the list but I won't be satisfied unless he makes the all defensive team.

Suns' Hill elected to spot on Hall of Fame board

- Grant Hill has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's board of governors, the first active player to earn a position.

The Phoenix Suns' forward was elected to a three-year term, the Hall of Fame announced Tuesday. Hill will serve as one of 22 members of the board, chaired by Jerry Colangelo.
Hill is a seven-time All-Star and the NBA's co-rookie of the Year in 1995.
Among the responsibilities of the board of governors are the management of the Hall of Fame and the election process.

Grant Hill is going to be a big name in pro basketball long after his retirement. I really do not expect him to coach, but I do expect him to hold league office type of positions.

Perhaps, one day, Commish? That would be a plus for the NBA.
