Our smarter than everyone else GM needs to be put on notice that his job is in jeopardy if he doesn’t nail the draft in 2018. Besides the failures in the first round, he has also whiffed horribly the last 2 years with our 3rd and 4th round picks. Not one is even a contributor.

Yeah. It’s not looking too good right now. Did Diche or Redick make a play this game? Seriously. I didn’t focus on them and had the sound off most of the time.

nkemdiche has been hurt today, doesnt stay healthy and when he is healthy he is a no factor
reddick is without a role, too light to play Olb and zero insticts to play ILB, i dont know how he can turn out
bucannon is a below average player, soft in the running game and not good covering

I think Keim would have better luck just throwing darts at a board. His success rate in recent drafts has been pretty abysmal.

Reddick looked good to me in his few games at ILB, especially against the Lions. I hated that he got moved to OLB.

It's more on the coaches, imo, than the GM and the scouts.

I want to keep Fitz, Jones, DJ, Budda, and PP if he is okay with us releasing Honey Badger. Keim and the coaches also have to go. BA's offense is dependent on a good OL. We need to be able to win when we're not 100% healthy.

THAT list is an overt condemnation of Keim’s Drafting ability.

And then add the fact that David Johnson and Marcus Golden were only drafted because the Lions took Abdullah right in front of us.

I has been bad, especially in the first round. Both Bucannon and Reddick were the same trap that Keim fell for. Guys who were positionless transitioning into the NFL, and were late risers due to off the field athletic testing. You can take those guys, but the first round is generally not the place to do it. Reddick hurts more, but it is still early. I have my doubts, but his athleticism translates better at ILB than it does at OLB where he gets overwhelmed.

Humphries was an ok risk...premium position, position of need, and the issue was a bit of maturity and injury history. Something to consider is that Humphries is still only 23 which means he still has a long career ahead of him. This may still be a good draft pick.

Nkemdiche is the really bad selection IMO. We didn't have a second round pick because of the Jones trade, and the move is to trade down if you don't like any of the players there. Also, it wasn't like there weren't other DL or even other players that fit in that area who we could have taken.

Reddick also will probably lead to some long term issues. Jarad Davis looks to already be a better ILB. Garrett Bolles looks likes a good OT which we could have used long term. Malik Hooker is injured but showed to be the CF at FS that the Cardinals state they have been looking for. TJ Watt, Derek Barnett, and Tak McKinnley all look like they would have been good EDGE additions which would have made the Golden negotiation less stressful. The other spot that requires mentioning is CB and Tredevious White who has looked really good in Buffalo. We can all agree that having an additional young OT, OLB, or CB would make us all feel better about our future.

Disagree. Talent shines. Smokey looked good his first two years. DJ dominated. Badger was great before injuries. Those dudes have been abject failures. SOrry Mitch I think your BA bashing doesn’t fit this thread.

I remember Denny Green saying, when it comes to the draft, don't fall in love with any player. I think Keim does that. They had Reddick rated way too highly and took him way too early. The same with Buccanon. It goes all the way back to the RB from Vtech who they promised they would take him in round 2, and did.

Green was more about taking the best player regardless.

Bucannon was not positionless he was a great SS and that's where they should of kept him however Dansby left and Washington went crazy so all of a sudden we had a massive hole and the coaches went to him asked him to play LB and gain weight

Credit to him for stepping up

no question Keim has a bit of bad luck --

his third round picks have been offsetting mediocre first rounders

and then two of them-- Badger and Brown -- fall way off

Keim seems to always be thinking outside the box. I like it on occasion, but it can't be your main act. The picks of Brandon Williams, Chad Williams and Gunter in the mid rounds are what frustrate me the most. The 6th and 7th are when he should be this creative.
