Seriously, what does that mean and should something be done about it?
I'm not a lawyer (I just play one on the internet), but from my understanding copyright law is complex. Basically, if you create an original work, it is your property. The copyright notice just states that you intend to enforce this, but the work is copyrighted regardless if you post a notice or not. You can register a copyright with the government, but it is not required to own a copyright.
For example, I took the snapshot of my dog that I have in my avatar. I own the copyright to that even though I have never registered it. If some dog food company wants to steal that picture, I could have a case to sue them if they used it to advertise.
Maybe we could get someone like Ouchie or some other legal expert to explain this.
