Young Guns!

In 353.1 IP in 2013 these four youngsters with an average age of 24 and an average salary of 494k have put up an average ERA of 3.13.

Talk about value!

(On a side note, MAN it would be nice to be able to have added Jarrod Parker to this list)

I know we are looking at a small sample size, but Atlanta dominated for over a decade with Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz.

I am NOT comparing the two groups because like I said, it is way too small of a sample size. I'm just suggesting we may have struck gold, and if this continues over a longer period of time....wow.

I just wonder if KT is dumb enough to put Cahill and McCarthy back in the rotation and send Skaggs and Delgado down.

I mentioned it would be nice to have Parker still around to put in there, but Bradley could round out that starting 5 very nicely.

Yeah, I forgot Bradley too. Holy crap that is lethal.

IF it pans out as it might, we're looking at possibly:

Corbin
Bradley
Delgado
Miley
Skaggs.

Nice.

I like it. Gives us room to free up some salaries and go after another bat or 2 and a closer. With our total salary being under 90M, we need to be creative.

We have 10+ years of rotation right there...fingers crossed it stays that way

All 5 should be off the market. Lets get some bats!

I have to believe McCarthy's career is over.

Ain't no way McCarthy will be back as a starter. However, Cahill will... Skaggs has been the most inconsistent of the bunch (aside from Kennedy of course), and so I believe it will be Skaggs will be sent down to allow Cahill back in... Which sucks...

Nice rotation - and to think three of these guys were acquired in trades that were widely panned at the time.

All are vastly overrated. Trade them all for a pallet of grape-flavored Big League Chew.

I think tonight start for Skaggs will determine if he stays

Agreed. When he can drop that curve in for a strike he's fine. When he can't he seems to end up in "the big inning" where his pitch count gets out of control.
