That is a lot of pressure on a kid going into his second full season. It will be interesting to see how it works out.The Diamondbacks announced their starting pitchers for their season-opening two-game series in Australia, tabbing left-hander Patrick Corbin and right-hander Trevor Cahill as their choices for the two games against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
With the Diamondbacks as the designated home team, Corbin will throw the first pitch of the 2014 major league season. He was one of the better pitchers in the National League last year, posting a 3.41 ERA in 208 1/3 innings in his first full season in the big leagues.
