You’re right. When there’s a penalty moving the ball to the 1 for a 2 point conversion, every team goes for 2. The analytics are already moving towards going to for 2 rather than kicking it, so moving it a yard closer is almost a guarantee to going for it. However, the play call leaves much to be desired.
