OXNARD, Calif. -- Cowboys rookie left guard Connor Williams, the second-round draft pick out of Texas, is playing with a star-studded offensive line, and between Pro Bowl tackle Tyron Smith and Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick. That doesn't mean the transition to the NFL is without its travails. On the opening drive of Thursday night's first preseason game, San Francisco tackle DeForest Buckner slapped Williams, waved his hand free over his helmet and had a clear path to sack quarterback Dak Prescott.
