Cox Cable/Internet/etc

I am trying to establish all my fabulous new accounts in AZ. Tell me if this sounds like a good deal since I absolutely clueless about Cox and all things Arizona.

Digital Cable with the sports tier
High speed internet
Digital telephone with 60 free minutes of long distance

$99.95 a month, plus tax and fees

This sounds good to me. I am correct or am I a moron?

Also, the Fox College Sports Atlantic Channel. Does that mean that I will get to see college games from back east?

One more thing. I am interested in getting a DVR. Should I just get one through Cox? Do I HAVE to get one through Cox? Help me please and thank you.

I've got the internet, cable and phone through Cox and have no problems at all. It's a pretty good deal actually.
I have their HD package with DVR and it works great for my needs. You can add a Tivo or other DVR if you want.
I don't know about the Fox Atlantic package.

No, and I wasn't gonna get one, but it seems like it's almost like a freebie with this bundled offer. And, I could use the 60 free long distance minutes to call friends and family back east who don't have Verizon.

Cox is an evil corporation.... a dark cloud hangs over their offices where you have to pass through a creeky old cemetery like gate. A crow squawks at you as you get out of your car, the fog will eventually lift as you reach the front door

i actually prefer the cox dvr to a tivo.

the only bad thing i can say about cox is their employees are midgets. who like peach soda. basically, an emploee of cox is NOT one, great guy.

Just pony up the $14.00 and get a land line and we can talk in peace, plus you can have your TIVO stop harassing you. I have cox internet, telephone, and cable TV with an HD dvr.

I have no complaints with the service.

I’ve got Cox phone, tv, and internet. I have 2 of their DVR’s and everything works great. I’ve never had a problem.

I have Cox for my phone, cable, internet, and business internet. Can't say I am to happy with them all the time. But when you have limited options this is what you deal with.

Cox analog cable sucks, bad reception on the lower channels - can't speak to the digital cable or the telephone.

Their internet rocks - really fast and in my experience great customer support without long hold times from a person that speaks english. Even when the problem was my fault (bad router) they were friendly. Probably bitched about me after I hung up, but oh well.

Yeah, I will miss my DirecTV, but, since I have season tickets to the Cards, I think I'll get over it (or develop a whole set of new reasons to be sad).

I signed up for the deal. The guy was pretty nice. Actually, all the people I've talked to AZ to set up my new services have been really nice. They probably make fun of me after I hang up since I have soooooo many questions, but oh well.
