Both offers rejected, just got the KTAR update, what does this mean going forward? I am curious what some of you hockey guys think as I am not too big into the sport.

The key element is that Baum rejected blackberry with prejudice, pretty much killing him from the process

with the NHL he killed it pending modifications - he basically wants to see the bid address moyes & gretzky

i think it's crap they have to further enrich moyes, but c'est la vie

will be interesting to see what the NHL decides to do and where this process goes from here

at this point I think the NHL will work out a settlement to become the "winning bidder"

i think they will also work to keep the franchise here and set it up for long term health

however, in this climate that will prove to be difficult

if it's too difficult they could then move the team to a market of their own desire next year

another option is the whole thing falls apart and they just fold the franchise

will be interesting to see how it all develops ...... although it's nice to see ballsillie and the hamilton crowd have the door firmly shut on them

I am not a hockey fan but this makes me sick. Glendale & the NHL have been picking up the tab for this guy for over a year, and now the NHL's bid gets rejected because Moyes needs to get compensated. The guy doesn't care about the City of Glendale getting stuck with the expenses of the stadium that's why he was pleading with them to take Basaille's deal. The guy made bad investment, he shouldn't get paid because he lost his money, no one made him buy this team. He should be lucky no one is trying to collect from him for not paying bills since last October.

So are we keeping our Yotes for now or not?

I'm sorry this is all really confusing for me and I dont have time to research it deep enough to understand WTF is going on.

Yes, the Coyotes will definitely be here for the entire season, and will probably be here beyond that once the NHL amends their ownership bid.
