All this talk about breakfast foods like B&G and CFS got me hungry and the first place I thought of was Cracker Barrel.

You must be registered for see images

I always get this one:

Grandpa’s Country Fried Breakfast

Two Eggs cooked to order with Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, real Butter and the best Preserves, Jam n’ Apple Butter (on request) we could find.

~plus~

Fried Apples or Hashbrown Casserole

~and~

Chicken Fried Chicken or Country Fried Steak

That way I get my CF and the B&G on one plate.

Almost everything is cooked with some sort of meat drippings. Not a good place for a vegetarian (though their pancakes rock)!

I worked at the Golden Corral. Briefly. Boss was a *******. My wife (then girlfriend) also worked there.

I was banned from GC for busting the dude's chops daily...he was a freaking idiot monkey bitch...he used to play basketball with us in the morning...hairy little white dude who thought he was Michael Jordan.

But hey, the food there is pretty good. :D

Yeah, I used to foul the living crap out of him. We (me and a couple of people who also worked there) would run him off the hardest screens and drop him all the time. You don't know stress relief until you can knock your worst boss ever on his ass without any repurcussions.

He also made a move on my girlfriend (who was 17 at the time) and other innappropriate things. He's now a struggling insurance agent or something in that s-hole town we grew up in. Last laugh? Moi. ;)

Dead on. Id take waffle house over that cracker barrel, purporting to be authentic low country cooking, tasteless greasy garbage ANY day of the week. At least Waffle House aint a wolf in sheeps clothing.

After working at Cracker Barrel for about 5 months while my ex was pregnant with my son, I have mixed feelings about Cracker Barrel.

I agree with schutd on Waffle House over Cracker Barrel.

I've never been in a Cracker Barrell and thought the staff/customers looked like methheads.

I have seen junky staff/customers at the Waffle House.

Plus there is nothing like playing that stupid peg game a billion hands have touched and then eating your food without washing your hands first.

I was a Cracker Barrel until I read about they are "Pro Vegetables, But There Are No Fruits Allowed". If you are not sure what I mean by that, check this out.

PS That was a headline I remember reading a few years ago.
