The team consisting of Dan Rees, Henri Krueger, Benjamin Eleby and Hamp Lackey found a 3-0 victory against the University of the Cumberlands to secure the Mid-South Overwatch championship for the second year in a row.

The Phoenix had an amazing showing throughout the regular season, going 6-0 in conference play and while not dropping a single set, to earn the number one seed as well as a first-round bye.

They found themselves facing the Patriots in the grand finals. The Phoenix started strong to begin the match to find a 9-1 win in match one. Going into match two, the Phoenix kept the momentum on the offensive side scoring six goals to win match two with a score of 6-3, increasing the series to 2-0.

Going into match three, the scoring was very back-and-forth. The Phoenix led 2-1 with 20 seconds left until the Patriots found the tying goal to force overtime. After a minute and 12 seconds of OT, the Phoenix were able to find the golden goal to finish the series, 3-0.
