A day before the Chicago Cubs' new television home, Marquee Sports Network (MSN), goes live at 1 p.m. on Saturday, the cable sports channel is talking in some detail about its first day of programming. The first show to air is titled, appropriately enough, “Marquee Debut,” billed as a preview of future programming and a tribute to the Cubs' previous television partner, Nexstar Media Co. (NASDAQ: NXST)-owned WGN-Channel 9. Channel 9 carried Cubs games live for decades before the team, in conjunction, with Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ: SBGI), opted to launch their own cable sports network.
